Meet Kee Kee Buckley—author, filmmaker, on-camera personality, keynote speaker, and rock band manager.
Kee Kee is the author of the memoir Seeking Shama: Me, My Dog, and the Road to Inner Peace. In this deeply personal book, she shares her transformative five-month road trip across America with her beloved dog, Yoda, in search of inner peace.
Genuinely curious and empathetic by nature, Kee Kee obtained her law degree and spent 14 years as a senior executive with a top film company in Hollywood before becoming a regular contributor to HuffPost as a travel writer. She has spent considerable time in the Amazon working to improve the lives of local villagers living along the Amazon River, as well as volunteering through programs like Best Buddies to provide diversity, equity, inclusion, and friendship for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Recognizing a problem without an existing solution, Kee Kee invented and obtained a utility patent on a revolutionary non-stick yoga rug to improve people’s yoga practices. She founded a film festival with a mission to celebrate community through film, and she is manager of the band The Orchestra Starring ELO and ELO Part II Former members.
With passions that span filmmaking, holistic wellness, writing, travel, and public speaking, Kee Kee has built a career as multifaceted as it is inspiring.
All these experiences provide Kee Kee with a unique lens that informs her storytelling and is at the core of who she is as an artist. Her superpower is transforming lived experience into stories that captivate, inspire, and spark connection.
