This photo was taken while we were filming our docuseries, JUST UP AHEAD, a show dedicated to uncovering unique people and places that often go unnoticed. Finding myself with a majestic hawk sitting on my hand is one of the many reasons I love roadtripping, filmmaking, writing, and speaking with diverse groups of people. The surprise discoveries (both internal and external), the people met along the way, the hard work that culminates in rewarding creative expression.  It's all a journey, because you never know what you'll find, just up ahead.
