In 2010, amidst an existential crisis, I loaded up my car with my dog, Yoda, and left my fast-paced Hollywood life behind as I drove around the country for five months seeking shama—that inner peace for which we all yearn.
The plan worked. I learned the secret to living with shama. I moved to the serene woods of rural NJ. And I learned that the more I write, the happier I am.
So, I continue to write. A lot.
I'm crafting a memoir about my seeking shama road trip, the manuscript of which was one of ten finalists in the Aurora Polaris Creative Nonfiction Writing Competition and was one of 17 finalists for the 2024 Unleash Book Prize.
I have shared travel pieces in HuffPost, ventured into the world of gut health and co-authored the Peggy Lillis Foundation's C. diff Nutrition and Lifestyle Guide, and have edited books and written scripts. I've drafted marketing and course materials, website content, press releases, event programs, and even technical user manuals for SaaS platforms. But when I have time, my favorite place to write is on my popular blog, Seeking Shama.
I love to collaborate and find the words to express the vision of my clients. So let's write together!
